This isn't an American grip, it's more of a Texas one. With this grip, the pinky finger is practically inactive because it barely touches the stick, and the butt end of the drumstick rests against the wrist when the hand is bent. No, it's not for me. The Moeller technique feels more natural, and the 'parovoz' (locomotive) technique isn't for me either.

I haven't really dropped anything since my left testicle dropped, but I'll definately have to try some of that, it looks like a good laugh!

I finally can play your sprung monkey groove, only took me like 2 years :p There is a section (counting from 4:14 mark) that is in between where the guitar/organ follow each other and when you come back in top left and count 1 2 3 4 where you do a 2 bar transition fill thing (4:18-4:22)?. What where you doing there?

I grew up in dc and I consider myself a percussionist and although I know better, I have never seen a white person play go-go who is clearly not aligned with the local dc culture. AND he’s knowledgeable too… I love this man.
